Whitehorse has been chosen to be part of a partnership with Google and the Madison Public Library to continue to strengthen our implementation of STEAM learning: Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics. This partnership is called Making Spaces.

Through this Making Spaces project, we will be creating a physical, 21st century “Making Classroom” in our LMC to be available to all students at Whitehorse. Our “Making Classroom” will be a collaborative space for learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools. Our vision for this project will include flexible seating and a modernized space. We will also expand our maker programs and connect our students with the broader Madison community of makers through a new artist in residence program, inviting artists (and parents!) to share their craft with students.

The funding for this project will be coming from two sources. We are holding a  Crowdsourcing Campaign, and the money that is raised through this campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Google. You can learn more and donate at the following link –
